Christoph Müller

Christoph was born in 1980 in Liestal, Switzerland. After a childhood in the countryside and a normal school career as an economist, he worked a few months in different jobs, but mostly as an administrator in an important bank. In the year 2000 he decided with two friends to work independently and opened his own business dedicated to buy and sell products of cannabis.

In 2002, Christoph entered the Art School in Basel, Switzerland, to complete the obligatory basic year with the idea to later study cinema. But then, after an 8-month-trip in Central America and Mexico in the year 2003 and 2004, he decided to do his first documentary in Mexico City and started doing cinema in a self-educated way.

Since then, Christoph lives in Mexico and keeps doing independent cinema, where he knew in 2007, in a cinematographic workshop, Victor Vargas Villafuerte and Rafael Favila Zepeda. With them and a few other friends, he founded the production company Cotorra Films, which has become his home to produce documentary, fiction and animated films.
