Victor Vargas Villafuerte

Victor was born in Mexico City in 1980. He studied Actuarial Sciences in ENEP Acatlán, UNAM, with specialty in finances. After that he worked for four years in actuarial related jobs and changed then to photography.

In 2005 he starts to study photography for several years within the workshops teached by Lazaro Blanco in the Casa del Lago in Mexico City and takes in 2007, in the same place, the courses of Cinema in Video and Cinematographic Script with Juan Santiago Huerta.

Since 2007, Victor Vargas Villafuerte Works as an independent photographer and as a filmmaker in Cotorra Films, where he produced the short film “Oblivion (Olvido)”, his first work as a director.
Currently, Victor studies photography in Montreal, Canada.
