Tepito: El Pequeño Templo (2008) - Information

Synopsis:

Tepito, known as “The Fierce Neighborhood”, consists of 16 streets and is located in Mexico City downtown, just 8 blocks away from the political, social and religious power: the National Palace, the main square and the metropolitan Cathedral. “Tepito: the little temple” covers the history, told by its own inhabitants, from the 50s until now, the economic, cultural and social changes, the problems aroused from them, putting Tepito’s identity to the test. From this microcosm, the problems of all Mexico faced to a global world are reflected and the characters in this documentary try - each on their own way - to adapt themselves to the new circumstances.
